So we got to Scott's dads house very late but still awake enough to talk to his brother TJ and his brother's girlfriend Lindsay for a bit. In fact Scott and TJ even went to Walmart. Funny I would have thought I would have been the first of the 2 of us to go to Walmart. The next day we relaxed at the house, Lindsay cut and colored my hair and cut and highlighted Kaylee's hair. We both felt much better afterwards. It was nice to be able to relax after a long day of traveling. On Monday we went back down to Las Vegas to spend some time with my parents. We were there from Monday to Thursday. Monday we jsut spent time with my parents. Tuesday we went to a buffet at the M, which made Kaylee happy and we also did the Build a Bear thing with the kids. Lexi picked out a cute multi colored bunny she dressed it in a little skirt and a Disney Princess shirt, her name is Rella as in Cinderella which is Lexi's favorite princess. Jayson picked out a monkey, dressed it in Army BDU's and named in Monkey Boy which is what we call him at times. Ethan picked out a camo bear, dressed it in ACU's and named it Little Buddy which is what Scott has called him since he was a baby. Kaylee picked out a dragon, dressed it in a Laker's uniform and named it Scotty, because dragons are a scottish thing to Kaylee and because just like the rest of the kids animals, her dragon has Scott's voice saying "Daddy loves you!" This is something that we think will bring the kids some comfort while Scott is gone. When they are missing him they just push a button and they can hear his voice.
The rest of the time we were in Vegas that week, was spent with my parents and our beautiful dog Lola that we left with them when we came to Germany. So after a few days in Vegas we headed back up to Mesquite, to spend time with Scott's side of the family. We had a relaxing night of Thursday , then on Friday a bunch of his dads friends/ family friends came over to the house and we got to catch up with all of them. On Saturday we had a Happy Everything bbq for Scott to kind of celebrate the different things he would be missing while he was gone. It was at the park in Mesquite and was alot of fun. His aunt and uncle from California along with their daughter and her husband came up for the bbq, as did my parents, aunt, brother and sister in law plus their 2 adorable kids from Las Vegas. Along with Scott's aunt and uncle that live in Bunkerville. Plus one of my best friends and her boyfriend also came from Vegas too. We all had a great time and it was so nice to have everyone there to let Scott know how many people love and care about him and will be praying for him while he is gone.
The next day, Sunday we just relaxed at the house spending time with all the family that was in town. We went back to Vegas on Monday and went over to my brother and sister in laws house along with my parents to spend time with them and the kids. The bbq we had for Scott was the first time we had seen our niece Izabelle so it was really nice to get to spend time with her especially since we had never been able to before. We had dinner talked and just talked enjoyed spending time with family. The next day Scott and I took the kids to play tourist in Vegas. We went to the New York New York so Kaylee and Scott could go on the Manhattan Express roller coaster, then we took them to M&M world to see the 3-D show but it was closed. The kids wanted to see the volcano at the Mirage so we headed down that way. We went into the Paris Las Vegas where I used to work and my brother still does, the kids didn't think to much of it but we didn't take them on the half replica of te Eiffel Tower either. I think they would have liked the tower Kaylee went on that think alot when I worked there. So then we got to the Mirage to see the volvano but it didn't start until 8pm (didn't know that). At that point we decided it was time to head back to see the water show at the Bellagio, the kids all loved that well except for Lexi she was kind of freaked out by it. I took a few pictures of the kids and Scott by the fountains and we headed back to the car at the NYNY. Boy that really wore us all out you would think we would have been done for the day by then right. Nope we called my parents and asked them if they wanted to meet us for dinner at Chuck E Cheese. The kids, daddy and Papa had a blast together or should I say all 6 of the kids haha. Lexi had been to one if Colorado but was to small then to do anything so she really enjoyed it.
Our last day in Vegas we went to get family pictures taken and to have lunch with my parents. I really wanted to get pictures of Scott, the kids and I before he had to leave and JCPenney took the best pictures. Lexi wasn't very happy about it but we still managed to get some good smiles out of her. After the pictures my mom and went to the Disney store while the kids, Scott and my dad went back to my parents house and the kids each got to go for a ride on the Harley. That night we left for Louisville Kentucky to visit my best friend Sonya and her family.
